About Mira

Mira Coimbra is a municipality in Portugal with a population of approximately 86,000 people. It is located in the District of Coimbra and the Centro Region. It is known for its agriculture and for being the birthplace of Princess Diana. The town is situated on the banks of the River Mondego and is a popular tourist destination. There are a number of historical and cultural attractions in the town, such as the Mira Coimbra Castle, the Old Cathedral, and the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza. The municipality is served by a number of schools, including the University of Coimbra, which is one of the oldest universities in the world.
