About Sátão

Sátão is a municipality located in the District of Viseu, in central Portugal. The population in 2011 was 10,327, in an area of 247.20 km². It had a population density of 41.7 inhabitants/km². The municipality includes two cities: Sátão and Vale de Cambra. The present Mayor is Luís Miguel da Silva Pinto, elected by the Socialist Party. The municipal holiday is June 13. It was created in 1836.
